From the Altadena Blog: Via Alice Wessen of the Chaney Trail Firesafe Council, the Chaney Trail gate will be closed during the July 4 weekend, starting at 8 PM Thurs., July 1, and re-opening 6 AM Mon., July 5.

Watch out for those nellies on the Sierra Madre FireSafe Council to close access to [the legally open] Chantry Flat Picnic Area/trailhead & the Mount Wilson Trail. They will surely close Bailey Canyon, but that is the city's property.
Monrovia Canyon Park closed too.

Sierra Madre FireSafe Council is closing the gate to & from Chantry Flat at 6:00 pm on 4th of July weekend. $35 ticket [ransom] to have the cops let you out, so plan ahead!
