did a trail run in the Verdugos starting from Brand Park library. Followed the fire road up to the main ridgeline, this takes about 3.5 miles at 10-11% grade. Then ran across near the Verdugo Peak summit for 1.5 miles that is flatter terrain. Total 10-11 mile trip, 2500 ft gain.

That looks like a great run for this time of year.
