The RMRU search and rescue has been called out for two rescues - one on Baldy and one on the Skyline trail above Palm Springs
http://rmru.org/missions/2008/2008-002.html

Kevin Trieu who has climbed Denali said he might go up there yesterday,
but I dont believe it could be him.

These rescues have to stop, seems to be a regular occurence. In that article there was a link to another Rescue at Mnt. Baldy.

"January 22, 2008
Mount Baldy, Los Angeles County
2008-003

RMRU has been called to assist L.A. County rescue teams in the search for a Personal Locator Beacon activated near Mount Baldy. More information will be posted as it becomes available"

Anybody know anything about this one?

" 'At about 8:19 (p.m.), they called via cell phone and said that they were lost and cold,' Valenzuela said."

They waited until three hours after sunset to call for help. Oo-ra, Semper fi!
