Nice Video Cougarmagic - was it me or was the ringtail eating "acorns" or something just below the camera?

He's chowing on something I think - there is a whole bunch of debris and crap in here. He also goes to that little pool of water for a drink (in the distance) just about every night.
They eat a lot of insects, small mice, and berries - probably acorns too.

Mike - Big Tujunga. Little dude survived the fire! I've heard from a few people now who said they've seen them in various canyons on the western end of the mountains. I really never thought I would get one on camera. This was a real treat.

Thanks J! I suspect that they are much more common than people realize.
It's amazing this little guy or gal could survive the fire. What was your hunch? scat?

Patrick, I don't think you were eating acorns under the camera, looks more like a ringtail.

You misunderstood, was it me the ringtail was eating or was it Acorns?

Ah, well, a friend of mine saw it in person...! (not exciting, I know...wish I had seen its tiny tracks or something!)
