I made a quick (?) trip to recover a game camera on Pleasant View Ridge on Tuesday

My friend Pat had gone up here years ago and he described it as "taking the StairMaster" so I'm calling it "StairMaster Ridge"

Very nice weather for it IMO some may have found it cool to cold but hey you can't make everyone happy!

Thanks CM for giving me a very weak excuse to go out and do this

Enjoy

:D

We got some beautiful bear & cub footage!

Huge thanks to Matt for helping out. (yeah, I know, a good hike on a new route with a plane wreck along the way - really had to twist your arm...but still!)

You missed the other wreck during your hike.

11HXE is the C119 wreck, and GC10028 is the old C46 Commando Wreck.

Yeah I haven't been there in years, I've been meaning to go down the creek

I took your map and made this... Do you know of any reason why the gully shown in purple was not explored?

Seems like there would be wreckage in there

I did a visual on that gulley and saw nothing. Most of the wreckage is buried in the gravel courtesy of 60 plus years of avalanches, and erosion. I've done the trip twice, and the last visit was harder to find bigh pieces of wreckage due to thick vegetation. My first trip was after a big avalance, and the heavy vegetation was swept away.
