Glacier Ridge
with Bob Burd

Started from the Marvin Pass trailhead at 12:13am. At close to 50 miles this was my longest dayhike ever.
Turns out it's not as close to 50 as I thought. GPS puts the mileage closer to 47. That's still my longest hike however.
Mosquitos around Big Wet Meadow were horrendous. We each received countless bites especially when having to do a slow river crossing with boots off.

Bob Burd ain't too shabby either. He doesn't get down this way much, unlike Rick, but if you read his postings, he's an amazing hiker.TacoDelRio wrote:47 miles? That's it? C'mon, Rick!
He also gave me some good beta about a cross country route over a pass that I used a few weeks ago as part of my Sequoia backpacking trip. He's a very knowledgable man with respect to the Sierra.
Speaking of my Sequoia BP'ing trip, I did about the same mileage in five days as they did in under 24 hours.
