I hiked to Cucamonga Peak for the first time today. After my gloomy, cold, damp hike on Saturday, today was a welcome relief! It was a clear reminder of why I hike! I’ve done the hike up Icehouse Canyon to the saddle several times, but never continued in this particular direction. I absolutely loved the trail from the saddle to Cucamonga Peak. The views were spectacular and the trail was quite interesting. This is a must do hike for all local hikers!

The sky was blue, as I was above the clouds for most of the day. There was a light, cool breeze blowing most of the day. I made decent time on the hike, but would have moved faster had I not stopped so many times to take in the vistas.

Cucamonga from Icehouse is a nice hike. We do it every year.
