Went for what was supposed to be a quick hike up B. P., but due to all the snow still up there (solid snow cover started between 7500 and 7800 feet)
it took longer than expected. Still had a great day, bright sun, strong winds, and enough time after the hike to enjoy a beer before heading home. All in all, a great day in the mountains.

I answered my own questions today. :D We hit Baden-Powell, Burnham and Throop, out and back from Vincent gap. There is still snow above about 8'500. Easily do able with out crampons or axe today. It is still covering enough of the trail to be annoying, though it made for a few good glissades on the way down. Saw several PCT thru hikers today. Oh, and there were about 5 billion lady bugs all along the ridge from Powell to Throop.
