Missing Hiker at Crystal Lake (Bob Gregory)

Bob Gregory of Hawthorne went missing around the Crystal Lake area on Monday. He's the second person now who has gone missing in the high country in the last week.

In addition to Sands, authorities are searching separately for Hawthorne resident Bob Gregory, a hiker who was reported missing by family on Monday afternoon, according to KABC-TV The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas station told the station that the search for Gregory is being conducted in the Crystal Lake area of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Bob's body was found and recovered on Saturday near Islip, as reported on FB.

Any reports on where exactly Bob's was found? I'm guessing down one of those chutes on the west side of that ridge leading to Islip?

"300 feet below the summit of Mt. Islip" is the most detail I've read. There is a LASD photo here that might suggest the south or west face.

Here's a contour map of Islip area. There is a sorta level spot on the south ridge (ssw ridge) at ~300 ft below the peak (circled in blue). Red line is a crudely drawn contour 300 ft below peak.
