I hit Mount Sally from Shortcut Saddle yesterday. I had previously attempted Sally from the east in September, but turned back because the firebreak was overgrown and I was wearing shorts.
Well, the firebreak is overgrown on the west side too. It also has an added bonus of snow and mud right now. But this time I was properly equipped.
My total mileage was just shy of three miles, but it was one of the slowest three miles I've ever done. At least the views are great.
P.S. Someone needs to bring a new register. The current one is MIA, possibly due to the recent storms.

Seriously? That's hilarious...Sean wrote: Were there other pieces of the register? That's usually a sign that the Register Ripper hit the summit. Someone out there hates Sierra Club sign-in books.
I spent a few minutes scouring the immediate area and only found a pencil and a couple torn-out pages. I didn't see any signs of a register container.
Yeah, here is an old post I made about him. So far I have found ripped registers on Copter Ridge, Kratka Ridge and Wright Mountain.
