It's time for a new banner picture.

FYI - The banner picture is seen at the top of the forum's pages. The current one looks like this:

We need a springtime image that looks nice when cropped like the one above. Please post your submission (one per member please) on this thread. We'll wait a week for entries and then start voting on the winner.

Photo taken at the Icehouse Saddle on 7/26/2003. I don't know if it is "Springy" enough.

I think it is from somewhere between Icehouse Saddle and Kelly's Camp.

Since we only got two submissions, I've decided to skip the voting and use the flower pic for spring and the deer pic for summer. Thank you for your pictures. They are both very nice and will look good as the logo.

Damn, the submission window wasn't open very long.
I like the lighting in the flower pic so you've made some very good choices.

Sorry, Jeff. I like to keep a steady pace of activity. I plan to solicit a new pic for each season. Since we have a pic for summer, the next submission period will be the first week of autumn.

It's time to change out the main logo for autumn. Post your favorites here for consideration. I'm also taking winter images--in case we get some early snow this year. Thanks in advance!

Please submit photos you like for possible use as the forum cover. I'm looking for spring and summer images of the San Gabriel Mountains. Due to the way Tapatalk auto-fits the image into the website, please submit photos that could look decent if cropped randomly. This means that the photo has an interesting scene in the top, middle, and lower sections of the picture. I know this is not an ideal way to pick images, but it's what I'm dealing with right now. Thanks.

Hi Sean, I created a folder with a few dozen of my favorite shots from mostly the Altadena front range. You can use any you like from these for the forum. I also made a "By Others" folder in here, which has some nice photos that I am not sure of the provenance on. I think they're Paul's and yours. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/285rjxegr5oa ... Li0Xa?dl=0

The way I exported them lost the date info, and probably the geotag info, so if you want to know date and place of any of them, just email me the file name(s).

Thanks, I picked three that I'll rotate in every few weeks. If anyone else wants to submit a few spring/summer pics, I can change out the cover more often through August. Thanks.

Here are the three I picked:

Ha! You've made it nearly impossible to crop myself out of that image.

That was part of my thinking - you can be the face of the San Gabes.

Now that we've received some snow, does anyone have winter-themed photos to share? I'll use them starting at Christmas.

That’s odd. I used the attachment interface but didn’t put it inline.
