Went up to Icehouse Saddle this morning. The temperature was nice when I arrived at the trailhead at 7:15 but warmed up considerbly by the time we were on our way back..... My original destination was supposed to be Cucamonga Peak but once I reached the saddle I knew that was out of the question due to the heat. Was a nice hike overall outside of the intensity of the sun in the more exposed areas, but nice and well shaded at the bottom of the canyon. Columbine spring and the creek at the bottom of the canyon were flowing really well.... Overall a very nice hike, just a little too hot!! 8)

Nice pics - cool. I was in the same area last Sunday.

I must admit I was surprised to read your plans to go to Cucamonga in this heat. Probably a good choice to turn around.

Man I can't wait for the next snow season. The winters seem to be getting more snow-heavy each year.

Great Pics man, one of my favorite areas!
