Goff Island is a landmark in Laguna Beach below the Montage Resort. It is rock formation that juts 42' above sea level. During high tides, water surrounds it, making it a temporary island, but most of the time you can make it to the island without getting wet. I was lucky enough to drag my wife out this time, hoping to get her into bigger trips, and outside the gym. Fun for the whole family, as easy as a walk on the beach.

Reminds me of the Dana point sea cave area. For being so close to the coast there isn't a whole lot of beach hiking other the crystal cove.

Yeah, not much around the OC. San Onofre has some good beach hikes. I've read Torrey Pines is great if you feel like making the trip to San Diego. Or Malibu in the other direction.
