Idlehour Trail 11/17/13
Definitely a nice one. Perhaps my favorite front country hike.
Small note: You misspelled the name of the flats on the toll road. It's "Henninger" Flats not "Henniger" Flats. There's a third "N" in there. It's a common mistake; the mail box at the trail head says "Henniger".
One nice option: If you ascend via the Toll Road and descend via the Sam Merrill trail, there is a trail that goes through the flood control channels and basins below the Cobb Estate. If you take the trail through the area below the Cobb Estate, you can turn the hike into a loop. A lot of it is on road, but it's all back streets. Here's the route of the connector. It's about 1.8 miles.
