I just got home from driving northbound on the OC Toll Road. I saw the smoke behind Ontario Peak. See this web site:

Wow. Not again!
Thanks for your posts guys.
Thankfully this is supposed to be a cooler weekend. I pray the firefighters will get this under control and for their safety.

I had read on a (relatively) real time wildfire site that there were two arson suspects in custody. Haven't seen any follow up on it or other verification. Anyone hear anything?
100+ acres now but it looks like a serious air presence. With so many firefighters in Banning, coupled with the terrain, I'm sure glad there's available aircraft.

Thanks Tarol. I'd actually packed for an overnight out that way and saw a story this morning that said the PCT was closed to Guffy. I'm really sweating this one as that area is one of my favorites in the S.G.'s.tarol wrote: Lone Pine Canyon Road, Blue Ridge Road and Guffy Campground are closed
40% containment and it looks like the weather is cooperating a bit. I understand fire, I respect fire but man...I hate fire.

ThanksTarol. They're getting close.
I just got back from Waterman and there was no smoke at all from the fire. None.
Here's to full containment soon.
