Trip Report: This hike sucks, but if you really want to give it a go, this is the time of year to do it. The ascent is absolutely relentless, and the descent even harder, more of a semi-controlled fall down a steep mountainside. We actually finished before dark this time.

Congrats on the accomplishment. You are totally right on the weather lately, this is the time to make this summit happen. I really enjoyed the rest of your photos, some great pics of really steep sections in there.

Thanks. It's hard to get shots on several sections because both hands are already in use... :shock:

Love-hate is a perfect description of Big Iron.

I went up solo last summer and I think fondly on the experience. The mountain destroyed my shorts on the way down from scree falls, but I loved it. Great confidence builder.
