A Few Sheep
I would not have noticed these guys, they were a few hundred yards away and they blend in well, but a passing hiker mentioned he had seen six sheep a little way up the trail so I was looking.
There were far enough that I was not sure if this was sheep or just part of the down tree, but I took a picture and waited until I was home to discover what it was. Guess thats why they call the cameras "point and shoot" or in this case "point and shoot and hope".

I walked up on the same group of sheep this weekend. This time they allowed me to get closer. As Shin said "it pays to hike up early in the morning."

Figure ill add a few here instead of making a separate thread if I can figure out how...
On the wrong side of the river and we came around a blind corner and saw 2 bighorn males just chowing down river side. One started walking directly towards us not knowing we we there, probably within 15 feet when I stood up, and it bolted off up the cliff. The second one saw us sooner through the trees, then he bolted off the hill. Was sweet to hear their hooves pounding on the dirt and the cliff, so close!
Edit:I suck. How do I post the pics directly here from flickr?

Open the photo in Flickr and use the little drop down button and use:
"Grab the HTML/BBCode
Copy and paste the code below"
The code is right below in a box
You can select different sizes right below the box, it is always nice to select a medium size that fits in a window without running off the edge of the monitor or else the other posters sentences will run right off the visible page..
You need to be sure Disable the HTML code is not checked in your message
I am eager to see your photos...
