Good day of hiking. Got to the trail head and started climbing @ 6 am. A few other cars were there but the parking lot was fairly empty. The trail was well maintained and easy to follow. We got to Ice House Saddle in 2 hours and headed off to the peak. At the first glimpse of the Inland Empire the entire area had a big cloud coverage and discouraged us of the outcome on the summit. The canyon breezes at the 2nd saddle were a tad chilly but weren't that bad. Once on the summit, the cloud coverage cleared exposing the beautiful views of the inland empire, high desert, Mt. San Jacinto, and Big Bear. The wind gusts on the summit were relatively low at 25mph. We were the 2nd ones on the summit reaching it @ 1030. Ate lunch up on the summit and stayed for awhile then headed back down. The entire way down we were passing the rush hour and hundreds of Koreans I think. Back to the parking lot by 1 pm. All in all a great day up Cucamonga peak. For the details of the hike follow this link:
