yes! but bring your chainsaw... you can go up the access road to south mount hawkins... or start at baden powell and traverse the ridgeline with burnham, throop, etc.. all the way to south mount hawkins... from there, with some careful route finding you can bushwhack up to rattlesnake peak and then down a very old use trail to shoemaker road... more bushwhacking if you want to actually make it to the east fork which involves sliding down a steepish hillside to the river proper
I believe From East Fork to Vincent Gap is 14.5 miles. Crystal Lake to East fork cross country, be prepared to loose a lot of flesh! You could hitch-hike..........
