on a topo map a couple of years ago i saw an unnamed trail that appeared to stop just shy of santa paula canyon / creek in the los padres nat'l forest. research revealed it to be a potential waterfall vista. on 4.11.11 i went.

i hope you enjoy the photos as much as i had taking them.
trip report on last four jpgs.
2011-04-11 Rarely seen waterfall Santa Paula Canyon LPNF
it truly is. one of the tallest around. little seen due to the true difficulty of traveling upstream to see it from below, traveling from the western side - like we did - is challenging @ 23 miles and dark to dark, and trying to hike either up or down the last chance trail then cross-country to try and see it from on top.
thanks for the kudos.
Bradley,
I saw your signature about this adventure in the register on Topatopa Bluff yesterday and i went hmm... i gotta look into this. Then just tonight i see this TR for the first time. Very cool waterfall!! Good job finding the vista. I wonder if it's still running?
I really need to look into this now! 8)
