This was on the San Gorgonio Wilderness forum:
Summited Baldy via the Bowl today (11-27-10). Arrived at 11:00am and ran across SAR on the Sierra Hut Trail. A middle aged man had a stroke and fell off the trail below the Hut. Unfortunately he did not survive. A group of hikers who witnessed the fall administered CPR for an hour until SAR arrived. They air lifted the guy out. My thoughts go to his girlfriend who was with him at the time & his family & friends.

I was there yesterday and came across the scene not more than an hour after it happened. We were stopped along the trail as they prepared the body to be airlifted out. Sad day, my condolences to the family.
