To anti shock or not?
This thread is a few months old but I wanted to chime in.
I really like Black Diamonds Trail shock poles. My S.O. and my Father also like them as well.
The polyurethane double shock system works well. It's doesn't give that "spongy" feeling going uphill like you may expect from a pole with shocks. They've held up quite well after about 6 months of abuse. The flick locks on the BD's make changing the length a breeze and the full padded wrist strap is a nice creature comfort.
