My friend Arthur and I climb Mt. Baldy on Saturday. We went up the bowl and down the Devil's backbone. Snow conditions were actually good for as warm as it was. The snow is melting fast, but there is still plenty in the bowl. A lot of the snow on the backbone as melted, but there were still sections of snow where you had to be careful.

Mike, I could be wrong, but in your pics of the bowl with people in them, you keep refering to the "East" side of the Bowl. Wouldn't the side of the Bowl with the summer time trail on it be more the "West" side?
Just a thought.

Thanks for the TR, good to see there's some snow still left up there.
Praying for another good dumping to replenish it.

hillbasher- Nice catch! That was a total brain fade. Thanks.

TacoDelRio- Thanks!

He219- I hope we get another good dumping also. In the mean time, I'll probably do some climbs on the north facing slopes where there is more snow.
