Zach is looking to go up early he's coming by to borrower my Crampons because he's here in OC and his stuff is in San Bernardino, what time are you going and will the roads be open all the way to "Wanker/Manker"?

Send me a message and I will call him on his cell phone.

Thanks

You know, it's the second time I am told we look alike:

Few months ago we were going up Baldy (via the Ski Hut trail) and as I was letting the guy descending pass, he stopped and asked me if I were TacoDelRio, at first I didn't get what he was saying but then it donned on me who he was referring to because I just watched a video on youtube made by TacoDelRio (the one with the "Kukusha" soundtrack by Viktor Tsoi: ).

How did you come to know Kino/Viktor Tsoi? Kukushka is one of my favorites. Zvezda Po Imeni Solntse is another one:

Yes he was big in the late 80's back home ... I certainly copied my share of his bootleg songs when I was in school back then. If you like that kind of music check out DDT:

Good stuff. Osenj sounds very Russian, but also has that American surf music sound to it.

Here's a shot of Baldy's chutes as of 12/19/09. Coverage is already starting to look thin. The two climbers are heading up Dostie's Dare. You can clearly see Taco Sauce on the left

Monday night, tuesday, and sunday might bring some snow. Current trend makes me guess that the ice under snow under weak snice conditions will be lessened. A good refresher storm.

Yep, looks like we might get some precip on Tuesday, the weekend after Xmas and then on New Years day too!

Please, oh please snow on Pasadena on New Year's Day!
That'll keep more people from moving here.

Cut to living room in some -sha ending town in Wisconsin.
"See, Ethel; it snows out thar on the Rose Parade, too! And tiny houses cost more than a hundred thousand dollars each. I'd only pay more than $100k for a mansion. Why, I hear tell that some of the smaller ones still cost a half million dollars. And no yard, either!
No, we're not moving there."

The forecast totally went bust. I guess the big storm in the midwest wouldn't move on, which blocked our storms from moving in. Now what's coming is pretty wimpy. Just some minor stuff Wednesday night. The long range is showing zilch for a while.

I was going to hit Baldy trail tomorrow but canceled because no new snow came ... On the other hand our relatives on the East Coast are freezing and snowed in ...

According to weather sites, looks like we're getting snow on wednesday, and then starting late sunday/early monday (17th-18th) there's a multi-day system rolling in. Anyone up for an overnight in a WINTER STORMWATCH 2010!!!11!?

BYEAAAAWWW!!

I was going to wait for a more solid forecast before picking a day, but if anyone has a preference, feel free.
