I want to do an exploratory hike up Lower Bear Creek. I'll be turning west once I'm in the canyon just south of the Twin Peaks massif. I'm going to go check some stuff out, feeling the area out, if you will.

I would not consider it an easy hike, maybe 20 miles round trip. Packing real light, just the basics but also bringing rock shoes and a helmet. Those will be used if what I think is out there, is in fact out there.

I want to move fast on the trail.

I want to be at the West Fork lot around 5 something in the morning.

Anyone interested?

Just glad to see you are back at it.

Make sure when you get to the trial head you pick up a rock and hit yourself with it so that none above fall on you - in other words, get it out of the way.

Enjoy

Guess I'm not going. Blown brakes, need to rebuild calipers this weekend if it stops raining.

Note to anyone reading: If buying a Nissan and you plan to drive it hard, all the time, get the best brakes you can. (IE Brembo's with the Z33 Track model)

How about not driving a commuter car like you're the Stig?

Isn't that the same car that passed my truck on the Heaton Flats road going downhill in the "Double Yellow Lines Sections" doing 60+ and you want to know why your brakes are worn out, I'll give you a clue - not enough clutch, too much breaking - use the gears more.

:D :D :D :D

Braking? Kinda hard to pass WHERRYRDADDY if I'm going too slow.

EnFuego... you drive a Shitsubishi.

Yoskolo, 240's were never meant to be commuter cars. 8)

When discussing braking vs downshifting into turns, Jackie Stewart was to have said [Scottish accent] "Brakes are cheaper than transmissions" [/Scottish accent]

This is true. Though if you are slowing down upon entry, you must still have enough power to exit the same turn. And sometimes braking = understeer = hello wall and/or cliff.

WHY R DADDY
