Last night I hiked up Mt. McCoy (in Simi Valley) with some friends. It is a very short hike with only 600 ft of elevation gain. However, the reason for hiking it was to see the cross at the top of the peak. I learned that every year from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday the cross is lit. We met the guys that lit it with their generators. They were so nice. These guys are there until about 11 pm every night this week.

There are several ways to get up to the peak. There's an easy trail with lots of switchbacks, and there is the steep way straight up. Of course, I chose that route. We started hiking before sunset and arrived at the peak as the sun was setting.

We need a list of every peak with a cross on it. I'm putting you in charge of creating said list. Good luck!
