Condor Peak Trail (Fox Peak)

I got this from someone I know in the Sierra Club:
I've had a report of trail damage on Route 2 to Fox Mountain #2
... that would be the Condor Trail (13W057). "The trail was blocked by
at least three slides near the peak. The lead group - led by Rosemary
Campbell - crossed the first slide, but decided that it was too
hazardous to cross the second one. One of our group, who had already
signed out from the scheduled hike, was able to climb the peak via a
ridge that begins at about mile 6 of the main trail."
When she refers to "Route 2," she's refering to the routes listed on the HPS page http://angeles.sierraclub.org/hps/guides/09d.htm

I did Condor and Fox this weekend for the first time in about three years. The trail is in better shape then when I was up there last. There are still plenty of small slides on the trail and the one big tree over the trail in Fusier Canyon is still there but overall it is much better then what it was like. The most problematic part of the trail has always been the contour around the west face of Fox. That section last time with no vegetation had many wash outs with one that I had to jump over. Now most of the vegetation has grown back and the trail while slumped and narrow has firmed up and feels comfortable as far as footing.

The vegetation which used to be very bushy in the upper sections is pretty clear other then the upper switchback to the ridge. I don't know if someone has been working the trail or if there have just been enough boots stamping through the area but the trail is getting better.
