MT BLISS

It's been on my mind to hike up to Mt bliss again. I've recently passed by the mountain from the 210 freeway and the hills looked so lush and green. The last time I hiked Mt Bliss was many, many moons ago with Sean in 2016.
My friend and I started at 745 am. It was overcast and freezing cold. Perfect temps for this exposed trail.
The gate had been closed since Covid so we had to walk the extra half mile.
Anyways, we saw three deer as we ascended the road. To my surprise there were lots of wildflowers which made me very happy. There was also an abundance of mustard but it blended well with other colorful flowers which made it look nice.
We had the majority of the trail all to ourselves. We only saw 4 bikers & one runner.
The Van Tassel road was mostly clear with a few deep ruts from the previous storms.
I had forgotten that there were 3 water tanks along the way. Of course we stopped to climb all of then, except the last cool one that said Bliss. Suddenly I remembered I had a photo of me on top but this time I couldn't reach it. I think Sean may have given me a lift. Lol
As we reached the final push to the summit,
The glorious sun decided to shine upon us. Then it got really hot. The bitting flies attacked me. We ate lunch, signed the register and I placed the Eispiraten sticker on the container.
We decided to explore and continued to two more bumps along the way. I looked like you could do a loop but I'll have to explore that option on another day.
Overall, it turned out to be a fantastic day of hiking. As we descended the road we had some pretty cool breezes.
