Some of us are doing a hike this Sunday to Mt. Islip for the forum's anniversary. Send me a private message if you're interested in joining.

There is an outside chance I would do this (at least in part). Any idea of when you would start and the route?

I won't do camping, so I would just show up in the morning on Sunday. With donuts.

Let's aim for an 8:00 AM start. It's approximately 6-7 miles to the summit with 2750' gain. We can start from the Lake parking lot and take Lost Ridge Trail to Big Cienega Trail to Islip Ridge Trail to the summit, then descend the Islip Ridge Trail all the way back to the lake.
