It wasn't nearly as cold as we anticipated after checking the Notch website. The winds were pretty mellow after the sun came up.
The most impressive thing I noticed was the vast improvement in new growth since I was up there in mid July. Even the acrid smell had dissipated!
It's really interesting to witness regeneration at work.....
