From there northward. BTW, no service there. Phones start at ridge road.

Its been a long time since my last tr.
So what have I been doing outdoors the last 6 years?
Well, the last 2 were after a stroke…so, nothing really.
Early on, in "prison" "covid hell", aka hospital, I was asked what I like to do.
I said I have my pictures.
"Lets see them…oh, so pretty. You seek pretty places"
But I knew they were hated. That much I knew. Why so many pretty pictures?
Fast forward in time, the next question was..you like to hike.
No…then why? I said there was a reason why…but I don’t know.
In hit me all of a sudden recently. Why hike or whatever?
The answer was simple..I was crazy. Actually a certified lunatic…in navigation.
I am a nobody and to top it off a crazy one.
So off I went on a "hike", start time 8:30am. Follow the creek. Simple.
There would be a lots of cairns…tortured souls, begging for direction.
I got to Redrock canyon, or 2 miles, at 11:30am which was better than nothing.
I actually was on the path here in March, when the creek was flowing.
Starting down at the ground for every step.
That ended kinda quick.
This time, the mountains were not so big looking.
Interesting in how you recover from stroke, how big is perspective. It was one of my "keys" to recovery.
I didn’t need to go to 'main' Trough canyon…just to southern end of it(it runs north/south). So like 3.5 miles one way?
2016, I had matched the fire break up from Salt Creek.
This time I turned around at Trough at 1:00pm.
It was hated after that point, for sure.
Then I scurried back, finishing back at 4pm.
Trough was a very important place because it was one of my lessons on access.
I was mostly doing what Ive done, taking mental notes on my reaction.
My foot was cursing at me lol…I was still aggressive in accomplishing things.

I think this is where Redrock hikers should be, but there are pics, from the other side of the trees, coming out of Redrock canyon.

Cienaga canyon...so i guess this is technically Trough canyon.

Conditions: Summer has ended, but the vegetation still has life in Trough.

No bigfoot...this place has plaster like dirt in the winter.

From 2016, the crux move from Trough....yeah, that wasnt going to happen this time. I can barely jump off the ground. But definitely the narrowist in the ANF.

Thanks for the report. Glad to see you hiking again. Were you searching for Bigfoot prints?

Hmm..maybe Bigfoot is looking for me...tired of those liteweight searchers.
I dont think he knows how it works.

There was a guy claiming he was going to get Kim Jung Il.
After all, he was within distance back in the day.
He was going to kill him for good.

But obviously people were protecting Kim, something that wasnt registering in his mind.
I dont doubt the guy... he was sloshed, but still.
