CHIQUITO FALLS

Early this morning I drove to the Cleveland National Forest and hiked to Chiquito Falls. Last time I was there was January of 2018 and the falls were dry. I was very excited to see lots of water flowing in the creek and the pools as I hiked along the trail. The first to see was San Juan Falls. I am not sure how to access it from the bottom but the main trail is above it.
It was a perfect day for the hike. The weather was cool and this time there were lots of wildflowers.
I had the trail all to myself and enjoyed my alone time. Finally a view of Chiquito Falls.
There were lots of salamanders and small toads in the pool. It was hard to get a decent picture.
I did a loop hike and coudn't take any more pictures because my phone fell in a pool of water. My phone is waterproof but pics that I tried to take on the rest of the hike looked cloudy. It took most of the day and night for the phone to get back to normal. One of the reasons I am writing this report late at night.
Stats: 12 miles, gain~1600'
