EISPIRATEN

Hi. Does anyone know the status of that road? The internet says there's an annual winter closure, but that the trails from there are open. Does that mean the road isn't driveable, but is walkable? Where is the gate? Any idea of what the road condition would be at this time?

Answering my own question: at this time the road is open all the way, and is in decent shape. See the trip report froma few days ago for more detail.
