I know what you're thinking. How could a movie be made with such a kickass title? And what genius imagined a character who kills both Hitler and Bigfoot?

Well, the writer/director is Robert Krzykowski. According to NPR's review, this is his first screenplay, and unfortunately it showed. Despite having a kickass title and clever ideas, the movie's plot is clumsy. Much of the main story is revealed in contrived flashback scenes, and the ending is choppy and rushed. These problems detracted from the otherwise fascinating theme of mythology versus reality surrounding both the Hitler story and the final Bigfoot hunt. The best part is Sam Elliott's performance, which brings a serious, introspective presence to the otherwise clunky style and message of the movie, which has something to do with man's struggle against evil and natural disaster. The film also gets credit for beautiful scenery and for making me think about the similarities between Hitler and Bigfoot. (Hint: there aren't many.)

There's that, of course. But they also share a preference for living in the mountains. Don't forget that Hitler spent a lot of time at his mountain retreat, the Berghof. Plus, it's almost a certainty that the Aryans descended from the ancient Bigfoot in the Himalayan range.
