I had the opportunity to visit Burney Falls in Burney, California with one of my hiking groups. It was a long 10-hour drive with a bunch of backseat drivers who were very annoying and drove me nuts! I usually drive solo on these long trips but I really admire the leader of the group, so I did him a favor and drove 3 more hikers. On a positive note, they compensated me for gas and treated me to lunch and dinner because they were so grateful for me driving them EVERYWHERE! Anyways, after checking in late Monday afternoon, we prepared for the next day's short hike.
Before we hiked to the main attraction we did a short loop around the area to check out some ponds and admire the beautiful fall colors.

There were lots of fish in the ponds.

Afterwards, we drove a short distance and hiked around Manzanita Lake with Lassen Peak in the background.

That is amazingly clear water. You had a good time with the fall colors.
