CHIQUITO FALLS

THIS IS A REPOST BECAUSE MY PICS WERE DELETED IN ERROR.
On Sunday, I hiked in the Cleveland National Forest to check out the falls. I met a small group at the San Juan Loop Trailhead.
We descended down a rocky path for about a mile or so before approaching the fork where the Chiquito and San Juan Loop Trails meet.
We continued for a short distance before we started to ascend 2.5 miles on a steep, beautiful trail with switchbacks.
Sections of the trail were shady and we had cool breezes along the way.
Lots of rocks.
Dry falls to be expected.
This was a nice short but sweet hike.
Stats: 9 miles 2300" gain.
