Spent the day on Santa Cruz Island last week. We saw a humpback whale on the boat ride out. Island foxes were everywhere, 5 sightings on a 4 hour hike. There was a sea lion near the Scorpion Anchorage that I think was dead or sleeping. I hope sleeping.

WOW!
Lucky you! I've only seen foxes, bison, dolphin and a lifeless sea crab!

I'll trade you the sea lion for a bison.

Nice two-fer on the foxes. I've seen 'em, but never as a pair.

AW, the campgrounds were quite busy. This is a great time to go with big blooms from the rain.

Rico, this pair was not far from the visitor's center. They seem almost domesticated, some don't have much fear of humans.

Nice pics. The sea lion looks pretty drunk.

Sean, I think he was dead. So did the flies. Others thought he was sleeping.

Drank himself to death? Bummer.
