i started hiking on July 18th with my brother in Onion Valley (outside Independence on hwy 395) and we went north.
We resupllied at Parchers Resort by South Lake and continued our journey to Tuolumne Meadows. there was soooooo much free food we actually GAINED WEIGHT on a 3 week trip!
it took 19 days of awesome adventure and beautiful landscape. a life changing experience. then we car-camped with family and friends for 8 more nights in Tuloumne.
we climbed Mt. Gould (13,000 something), Chocolate Mtn, Mt Maclure (by mt lyell) and Unicorn Peak.
it was radical!
next time you guys go to the sierra, catch Golden Trout, pick some wild onions and dump it into a steaming bowl of white rice. that is what i ate almost every night for dinner.
