I know this is off topic for the San Gabriel Mnts, but a couple of us did a great 9 peak loop in the San Gorgonio Mnts on Sunday, here is the trip report: http://www.summitpost.org/trip-report/3 ... -Loop.html

Travis, did you get a look of that main ridge that runs down what's basically the north face of Jepson? (east side of Jepson Bowl)

Does it look crappy?

Thanks!

Rick Kent's 17-peak SG loop required a heap of planning.

Nah! He doesn't even need water or food. I hear he licks the sweat off of bears, drinks rattlesnake venom and bites the heads off of ground squirrels just to keep his mind from wandering.

Who knew bears sweat?

Oh now come on ... I've never bitten the head off a squirrel!

Ok ... maybe a chipmunk or two:

Yes, I did check it out and we were talking about you at the time, here is a pic, not sure if it is the correct ridge, but any route from the north looks like a challenge, and not crappy in my opinion.

THat works. I'm just trying to get an idea how how wide it looks and how crappy the soil is, in case the snow isn't exactly in conditions.

Thanks bro!

Thanks, but I think you are refering to Rick's Trip Report, he is the one who takes all of the pictures of log books. My trip reort is:
