Hit the trail with TacoDelRio and my GF yesterday.

Wow!!!

Great pictures and congrats on bagging both peaks.

Reminds me of my first time up to Cucamonga a few weeks ago. Cucamonga has got to be one of the coolest peaks around these parts.

Great photos, looks like a nice hike with perfect weather. We are off bright and early tomorrow for the San Gorgonio area 9 peak loop, I suspect there will be snow up there. What happened to all of Taco's hair?? The sake singed it off :)

Good TR, HE!

I really do suggest that anyone cooking ramen should add some sake. A large amount for those of us who are immune to it (very not an advantage).

Sho Chiku Bai Ginjo Sake (I don't like it, so it works great in cooking).

Great pics bro.

Great photo TR guys. Hey, Ryan, I see you're really a gourmet out in the wilds. No gels or power bars for someone who bathes his ramen in sake sauce!

Cool pics; thanks for posting.

Looked like a sake tasting party on top. How cool is that?

That was the best we've ever eaten in the mountains!

One of my more realistic goals for stupid things to do on Baldy is to make sushi up there. Focusing on unagi (favorite, sea eel) and hand-rolls. Gonna be tricky, gotta make the rice before I leave, package it, and reheat on the summit or some junk without it becoming not-sticky.

Dunno when, preferably on a warm-ish winter day (cold = good for raw fish), definitely a cool day. BYOB or sake. 8)

(I can't digest power/Clif bars very well)

I understand that they've been considering Powerbars as a replacement for the ablative tiles on the space shuttle. :D

Ha! They'd never have to change the tiles ever again if they did that. As anyone who's ever tried to eat a cold powerbar knows ... there's no harder substance known to man.

This is true. Gotta keep them in your armpits or crotch to warm them up. Nearly detroyed my teeth. At least the Clif bars don't have a "skin" to them, so they break down into smaller teeth-shattering bits.

And you have problems digesting such an appetizing meal? What's up with that?
