EISPIRATEN

I hit Newcomb today from Mt. Wilson along the Rim trail. Nice forest romp. I saw 4 deer in a gully on the way down. There were a pack of hunters camping at Newcomb Pass. They weren't having any luck. I climbed Occidental Peak as well, completely blanketed in clouds. No views.

Interesting. When you said you were going to Newcomb, I thought you meant the Pass. Shows how much I know! Thanks for the report.

Newcomb Peak is marked on Caltopo, but there is no compelling reason to go there unless you are chasing the Lower Peaks list.
