Had a couple of hours this evening so I parked at the fire station and rode up the ACH to the grizzly flats road and up that to the mt lukens road and back down to the fire station. A very nice almost 2-hour loop. The stretch on Grizzly Flats Road from ACH up to the mt lukens road has been cleared of major debris and fallen trees, but is basically a single track with some bushes, sand and loose rocks, but nothing too bad.

Once you hit Lukens road, it's been graded recently and I must say that it's currently the smoothest dirt road I've ever seen anywhere in my entire life. A bit dusty, but no major sand traps or anything. Maybe it's because of all that power line construction going on.

The best part was watching the last sunlight creep across the range and the moonrise over Mt. Disappointment and vicinity. Sometimes it catches you by surprise how beautiful can be up there.

Pics follow.

You can pick out the Condor Peak trail in there pretty well:

Thanks for the report. I'll have to go check out that smooth dirt.

That's a cool panorama with the sun and moon.
