Shoot, I should come just to say hi. Too bad I don't live in Glendale anymore (15 min away). Tustin (2 hours on a weeknight) is a bit far.

The talk was excellent! However, 99% of the people in attendance didn't understand the hard science.

What I found disappointing was the rudeness of some people. Some folks were loudly yawing or making noise; others wanted to talk about the the politics of the situation rather than the lecture itself.

I certainly left there with a healthy respect for the work that Dr. Serieys put into her PhD dissertation. Congratulations to her!
