EISPIRATEN

I was up in Azusa Canyon today and noticed the Trail Number 239W10. I have seen these number before but this time I was wondering how are these numbers made up and is there a master list somewhere? I was up there because my Doctor told me to stay away for hiking until my heel is better so I decided to that a short walk. hehehe she will never know!
