San Gorgonio Vivian Creek 6/28/2013

Did the standard Vivian Creek trail to San Gorgonio on Friday, 6/28. It was hot, and the earlier reports of bugs and biting flies were confirmed. Bugs were an issue up to 9500'.
We were startled by a rattlesnake just below High Creek, about 5' off the trail. He did not want to share his part of the mountain. I got a short video of him before moving on.
A handful of people and a dozen chipmunks were on the summit. Perfect day, except for the fire that closed the 38. Full report and photos:
