Hiker rescue at Little Jimmy

Interesting article regarding a snow rescue at Little Jimmy.
Looks like a beginning snow camping class gone wrong.
This line, from the injured hiker, caught my eye.
“He and another guy left camp,” she said. “[The camp leader] had told one or two others [in the team] to stay with me but no one did.”
