Montrose Search and Rescue had a reserve deputy join them on Sunday of super hero proportions when Lou Ferrigno joined members Capt. Janet Henderson and Mike Leum in their daily patrol along Angeles Crest Highway.........
Ferrigno, who has a part in the new film version of The Hulk and is now in production on a DreamWorks film, said that people are usually surprised when they see deputies pull up and he gets out of the vehicle.
“They are a little surprised at first, but everyone has been nice and respectful,” he said.
That’s exactly the way a motorcyclist reacted when the team responded to a crash he was involved in on Sunday afternoon.
“We responded to a motorcycle versus car,” Leum said. “The guy refused to be transported to a hospital, so Janet was trying to help him. He looked up, recognized Lou and said, ‘You know, I’m feeling better now.’”
Ferrigno then posed for pictures with the victim, and responding emergency units from Station 82 and the U.S. Forestry Service"

"The Consolidated National Resources Act - approved by the House on Tuesday - instructs the federal government to study the feasibility of including all or part of the Rim of the Valley trail corridor as part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The trail corridor includes almost 492,000 acres of foothills, forest and parkland in the Santa Susanna, Verdugo and San Gabriel Mountains and San Rafael Hills.
Besides the Arroyo and Eaton Canyon, other area parks that could eventually become national parkland include Bailey Wilderness Park above Sierra Madre, Deukmejian Wilderness Park near La Crescenta and Hahamongna Park between La Canada Flintridge and Altadena."
