3 Highpoints

Taking liberal advantage of the "...for anywhere" tag here.
I had to go to Knoxville last week for a meeting on Friday (sux) so I scheduled a different flight home and knocked three states off my highpoint list. Drove to Clingman's Dome (TN), Sassafrass Mountain (SC) and Mount Mitchell (NC).
Not much in the way of hiking, might have added up to a total of three miles for the day. Lot of driving, I had almost 500 miles on the rental Nissan Rogue when I left it at the Greenville airport.
Not exactly a bucket list and I know it's a bit of a gimmick but that makes 14 state high points for me now. Realistically I might get 40, since some of them I'll just never climb/hike/walk.
The "trail" to the highest point in Tennessee.
Observation tower at the top.
Not much view today.
Trailhead to Sassafras Mountain.
Summit of South Carolina, not much to see from here.
The land is on private property (Duke Energy) but now the public has access.
View from along the Blue Ridge Parkway before it was completely clouded over.
Observation deck on the top of Mt. Mitchell.
Sign proclaiming the highest point east of the Mississippi River.
