Scrambling up a ridge from Hellhole Canyon 12/24/11

a fun dayhike, scrambling up a ridge in the Anza borrego desert. We reached 2 benchmarks and climbed up Peak 5386 (aka. San Ysidro East Peak or Doghead Peak).

At the start of the hike. The lower hill near the left side of the pic known as "Ode BM" was our first destination.

Nice pics. I was in that area a few months ago and saw those bones. They seemed too large to be a sheep. Not sure what they were from.

Great photos! AMAZING sheep!!

I have to assume the bones are from cattle.
