Pretty lame TR, but wanted to let others know about conditions.
Ice-Sun Cups-Wind
Made the long boring haul into dry lake and was rewarded with bad snow and wind. At least it was scenic.
Was a little depressed after giving up on skiing the summit due to crapy conditions. Luckily at 9000 feet and not drinking much water, 3 ice cold PBR got me pretty tipsy.
Have always noticed and wanted to ski a nice looking chute coming off of San Bernardino Mountain while hiking the South Fork trail. On the hike in it looked like the chute had nice conditions and was protected from the wind, so decided to hit it Sunday on the way out.
Pretty good conditions, but still icy in spots.
